Tim Challies writes an interesting challenge to John Piper’s decision to invite Rick Warren to his upcoming conference.  You can also click here to hear Piper’s defense of this decision.  I greatly respect Piper’s heart in his decision, but Challies’ concern, especially regarding Warren’s handling of Scripture and what this might communicate, is valid.

Albert Mohler addresses the question of whether or not Christians should avoid paying taxes to a government which will likely use those tax dollars to subsidize the evil of abortion.

Mohler’s conclusion:

But to refuse to pay taxes is to deny the legitimacy of the government itself, and to declare it beyond political remedy. Even to Christians suffering under the repressive, murderous, and dictatorial yoke of Rome, Jesus instructed the payment of taxes. Caesar, Christ knew, will one day face the judgment of Almighty God. Rome would one day be brought under his own feet and made subject to him.
