Michael Patton’s “Bible Interpretation in a Nut Shell” is a very helpful post on issues of hermeneutics, biblical interpretation.  Patton offers several important principles here in about as short a form as is possible.  This will very likely be helpful to anyone who reads it.  (HT: Z

 

Randy Alcorn has a nice take on our inability to understand the glorious things of God.  He compares us to dogs who simply lack the capacity to understand the goodness of their owners.  I like it.

 

Albert Mohler offers a fascinating look back at the impact of the late Cecil Sherman on Baptist life.  If you have ever heard me mention the difference in conservatives and liberals as it refers to denominational life, this article may help you to see what I mean more clearly.  Such an article also reminds us how precious is doctrinal fidelity.
