Links of Interest 4/12/2010

Trevin Wax offers a defense of John Piper’s decision to have Rick Warren on the program at the DG conference.  I’m not tracking all of these by any sense of the imagination; I just think that one every once-in-a-while is helpful.  This issue is not a make-or-break issue, but it is fascinating to watch thoughtful people I like actually disagree with each other.

 

I like the book Love that Lasts by Gary and Betsy Ricucci.  This little blog post gives some powerful thoughts from the book about the impact the Gospel makes on our marriages.

 

Ligonier has a powerful reminder that, when we are lost in our sin, we are enemies at enmity with God.

 

Practical Shepherding challenges us to pray the gospel when visiting with a person in the hospital.  This is good advice.

 

DG tells us that today is the 160^th anniversary of the death of Adoniram Judson.  If you don’t know him, Judson was the first US Baptist foreign missionary, and his sacrifice brought the gospel to thousands.  His story is worth a minute of your time.
