Links of Interest 2/10/2012

D. A. Carson and Tim Keller weigh in on the theological issues surrounding the Elephant Room II and T. D. Jakes. This article is big and theologically heavy (it even uses the word “vituperative”), but it provides a helpful response from leaders of TGC.

On the lighter, though not insignificant side, R. C. Sproul Jr. asks if God really cares and sovereignly oversees who wins football games.

Denny Burk points us to Chuck Colson’s call for Christians to consider the possibility of a need for civil disobedience. This is a very serious call.

Douglas Wilson cautions the budding Christian apologist to remember that our goal is to win people to Christ, not to win arguments.

The Journal of Biblical Counseling is back, on-line, and free. This is a great resource.
